What does the dagger mean on the Evo Slim label?
The dagger marks an ingredient with no official Daily Value. That is a statement about the reference system, not about the ingredient. Plants such as cinnamon, guggul or yarrow have no set daily need, so the label has no percentage to print.
It also means the percent column tells you nothing about the thirteen dagger entries. For those, only the milligram amount helps, and you need a study to judge it against. That is why the posts on this site set the label amount next to the study amount.
What are the seven vitamins and minerals in Evo Slim?
These are the entries with a Daily Value, and the percentage lets you compare one capsule with a day’s intake.
- Chromium 67 mcg, 191%. The NIH chromium fact sheet sets adequate intakes at 35 mcg for men and 25 mcg for women. See the chromium fact sheet.
- Biotin 300 mcg, 1,000%. Against an adequate intake of 30 mcg. It has no upper limit, but it can affect some lab tests.
- Zinc 8 mg, 73%. About a full day for an adult woman and most of one for a man.
- Vitamin C 50 mg, 56%. The RDA is 90 mg for men and 75 mg for women.
- Vitamin E 7 mg, 47%. The DL prefix shows the synthetic form, which the body uses about half as well as the natural one. The Daily Value already allows for that.
- Manganese 1 mg, 43%. The adequate intake is 2.3 mg for men and 1.8 mg for women.
- Magnesium 125 mg, 30%. The oxide form, the cheapest and the least well absorbed. The NIH magnesium fact sheet lists the adult RDA.
What are the thirteen plant and trace entries in Evo Slim?
The plant block reads, in label order: banaba, guggul, bitter melon, licorice, cinnamon, gymnema, yarrow, cayenne, juniper and white mulberry, followed by vanadium, alpha lipoic acid and taurine. The amounts run from 50 mg down to 2 mg.
Cinnamon is named by species as Cinnamomum zeylanicum, which is true cinnamon, not the cassia common in kitchens. Cayenne is the only plant entry with a pungency rating, 20M HU/G. Banaba is the only one with a printed standard: 1% corosolic acid, which means 0.25 mg of that marker.
Vanadium at 2 mg is an ultra-trace element. A standard review (Rehder, 2013) puts the average whole-body load at about 1 mg, so 2 mg is a meaningful addition to a small pool.
What are the other ingredients, and is there caffeine in Evo Slim?
Two other ingredients are named: hypromellose, which forms the vegetable capsule shell, and rice flour, which fills the space. So there is no gelatin. No artificial colour, no sweetener and no caffeine are named on the panel.
If you avoid stimulants, that last point matters. If you hoped for one, the cayenne at 10 mg is the only warming entry, and its effect in studies was modest.
What does the Evo Slim label leave out?
- Extract ratios. Only banaba has one. For bitter melon at 20 mg, you cannot tell how much fruit it stands for.
- Fill weight and shell weight. So the share of rice flour cannot be worked out.
- The factory. The label gives one line, “Manufactured in the USA with globally sourced ingredients”, and no facility.
- Anything on testing. No lab result is printed or published.
The seller’s order page also shows no Supplement Facts panel at all. The figures on this page come from the printed label artwork supplied with the product. That is why you should read your own bottle when it arrives.
How should you compare this panel with another product?
Match the form
Is the mineral an oxide, a chelate or a citrate? Forms differ in how well they are absorbed.
Look for percent Daily Values
They are the only fixed yardstick on the panel. A big percentage is not automatically better.
Check whether every amount is printed
A proprietary blend with one total hides the split. This panel prints all 20.
Set plant amounts against study amounts
A plant at 3 mg and a study at grams are not the same thing.
The NCCIH guide, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely, covers the basics of reading any label.

Does Evo Slim contain caffeine?
Caffeine is not on the printed panel. The only warming entry is cayenne pepper powder at 10 mg.
What does the dagger on the Evo Slim panel mean?
It means no Daily Value has been established for that ingredient. It does not mean the amount is unknown. All 20 amounts are printed.
Is the Evo Slim capsule gelatin-free?
The shell is hypromellose, a vegetable capsule, and the filler is rice flour. No gelatin is named on the label.
Where can I see the Evo Slim supplement facts?
On the back of your bottle, and in the transcription on this website's supplement facts page. The seller's order page shows no panel, so read your own bottle when it arrives.
Our view
The panel is the best thing about this product’s paperwork. All 20 amounts are printed, no blend hides a total, and the forms and plant parts are named. That is more than many labels give.
What it shows is a capsule with a mineral block that is worth something and a plant block that is light. If you buy it, buy it for the first and treat the second as a bonus. Show the list to your doctor if you take any medicine.
